2025: Disney on the verge to buy 'SpongeBob SquarePants' from Nickelodeon

Nickelodeon is currently selling its animated series SpongeBob SquarePants and its franchise to Disney property. SpongeBob SquarePants was owned by Paramount Global first and is now belongs to Disney.

In approximately 2025, Disney announces the acquisition of SpongeBob SquarePants and the United Plankton Pictures Inc. company and costs $ 26.4 billion through 2025. Behind The Avengers, Star Wars, The Simpsons, Family Guy, the X-Men and Avatar (from Fox), SpongeBob SquarePants, the Nickelodeon's animated series most bought by Disney.

SpongeBob SquarePants is the animated series premiered on May 1, 1999, created by marine biologist Stephen Hillenburg (1961-2018) and it is produced by his company, United Plankton Pictures and Nickelodeon since 1999 to the current year.

This series chronicles the adventures and endeavors of the title character and his various friends in the fictional underwater city of Bikini Bottom and its popularity became a franchise and its spin-offs, now it is belongs to the property of Mickey Mouse.

SpongeBob is a one of the employees like Homer Simpson, Spider-Man or Yoda, there are enough subversive elements in the Mouse House to give adults something to think about when they watch with kids.

Disney announces the acquisition of United Plankton Pictures Inc., the Hillenburg empire company, and the SpongeBob SquarePants franchise, which Disney would buy for $ 26.4 billion. This purchase of the SpongeBob SquarePants franchise by Disney includes the recording studios, cable and international television businesses.

Disney also acquires the SpongeBob spin-offs for example: Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years, The Patrick Star Show and the next Squidward spin-off and also the spin-off movie of Sandy. Now with the mandate of the Walt Disney Company. 

SpongeBob, celebrated the arrival at Disney Plus with a image in which they appear accompanied by other characters from the company. In the image, SpongeBob asks Patrick, Sandy, Mr. Krabs, Squidward, Gary, Plankton, and the Bikini Bottom citizens to wear a hat with Mickey Mouse's ears.

All the episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants are now available on Disney Plus with all Disney series while the movie "Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe" worldwide. SpongeBob spin-offs are also available on Disney Plus, for example; Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years, The Patrick Star Show and the upcoming Squidward spin-off, and also the spin-off movie of Sandy.
